Founder

Today marks a significant milestone in our journey to build the definitive home of the AI workforce. I'm excited to announce that Relevance AI has secured $24 million in Series B funding, led by Bessemer Venture Partners with participation from our long-term partners King River Capital, Insight Partners, and Peak XV.

The AI agent space is moving at breakneck speed, and this funding arrived at the perfect moment to accelerate our growth. We've seen explosive adoption—40,000 agents created on our platform in January 2025 alone—which caught the attention of investors earlier than we initially expected.

We're creating a world where organizations are limited only by their ideas, not their headcount. And while I could simply say we're excited and will be investing in product and go-to-market (which of course we will), I'd rather share more about where we are and what this means for our customers and partners.

The Journey So Far

When we founded Relevance AI, Jacky Koh, Daniel Palmer, and I saw that traditional automation tools were hitting a ceiling. They worked well for rule-based processes but struggled with tasks requiring judgment and contextual decision-making.

Fast forward to today, and I couldn't be prouder of what our team has built: an agent operating system that enables subject-matter experts—not just engineers—to create and deploy specialized AI agents that can perform niche human-quality work specific to that organization.

The response has been extraordinary. From fast-growing startups to Fortune 500 companies like Qualified, Activision, and SafetyCulture, organizations are discovering that AI workforces represent not just an efficiency play, but a fundamental reimagining of how work gets done.

I've been particularly moved by feedback from customers like Mike Welch at SafetyCulture: "The ROI from our first agent deployment was immediate and dramatic. Now we're looking at how to scale this across our entire organization." This kind of validation fuels our conviction that we're onto something transformative.

What This Funding Unlocks

This investment accelerates two groundbreaking features that I'm particularly excited about:

Workforce: Our visual multi-agent system builder lets domain experts construct sophisticated AI teams on a no-code canvas. Think of your marketing specialist or sales leader designing workflows where specialized AI agents collaborate with each other and with human teammates—no engineering resources required.

Invent: The world's first text-to-agent generator. Describe what you need in natural language, and watch as our platform generates a specialized agent in minutes. It's a game-changer for organizations looking to rapidly deploy AI capabilities across various functions.

I often tell clients that when we look back at this technological inflection point, traditional automation will represent just 5% of what was possible. The non-deterministic capabilities we're unlocking represent the other 95%—a vast new territory that will transform how work gets done.

To support this next phase, we’ve opened a new office in San Francisco—to be closer to many of our customers and partners leading this shift. I’ve personally relocated here to embed even deeper with the global AI ecosystem and to ensure Relevance AI is contributing meaningfully to where the future of work is being built.

Our Take on Where the Market Is Heading

While many in the industry are focused on the "co-pilot" model, we see the real power in delegation—where you set direction and AI agents execute with appropriate autonomy, just like human teammates.

One of our core theses at Relevance has always been: as soon as autopilot use cases become viable, people will prefer them over co-pilot assistants. We're already seeing this pattern play out across our customer base as initial co-pilot implementations quickly evolve toward autonomous agents capable of executing end-to-end workflows.

By the end of 2025, I believe having an agent builder platform will be table stakes for competitive organizations. The question isn't if your organization will adopt AI agents, but when—and whether you'll lead or follow in this transformation.

Growing With Our Customers

As we scale, we're deepening our commitment to customer success. We've made several key hires across our Success teams to ensure organizations can maximize the value they get from our platform, whether they're just starting their AI journey or already operating at scale.

We're committed to serving organizations of all sizes across industries. Our platform is designed to scale seamlessly from early-stage startups to Fortune 500 enterprises, with customers like Qualified, Activision, and SafetyCulture demonstrating this range. What unites our diverse customer base is a desire to reimagine operations with AI agents as first-class team members. Companies at every stage and scale are finding value in our approach, and their varied use cases continue to push our platform in exciting directions.

If you're already part of our community, I want to express my sincere gratitude for your trust and partnership. Your feedback and use cases continue to shape our product in countless ways.

If you're just discovering Relevance AI, I invite you to join us in building a world where the most valuable skill isn't doing the work yourself, but knowing how to delegate effectively to your AI workforce. The window for gaining first-mover advantage is narrowing, and the organizations that thrive will be those that view AI agents not merely as cost-cutting tools but as capacity multipliers.

None of this would be possible without our incredible team across San Francisco and Sydney, now over 80 people strong. As we grow, so does our global footprint—and I’m personally thrilled to now be based in San Francisco as we deepen our US presence and partnerships. And yes, we're hiring across all functions—if you're excited about building the future of work through AI agents, we'd love to hear from you.

The future of work is being reimagined right now. Let's build it together.
