ReadyTech streamlined HR offboarding by bringing their AI agents into Slack.

ReadyTech provides HR and payroll software for organisations across education, government, and enterprise. To reduce manual follow-ups and delays, they used Relevance AI to embed HR agents directly into Slack.

How Relevance powers HR workflows at ReadyTech

ReadyTech's People & Culture teams handle dozens of offboarding processes weekly, each requiring coordination between HR, IT, managers.
The challenge

ReadyTech’s People & Culture team supports constant employee changes across their organisation. Every month, they handle:

  • Offboarding

  • Onboarding

  • Team member changes

  • Parental leave

  • Flexible work arrangements

Each process required coordination between HR, IT, Payroll, and managers and that coordination was mostly manual. HR would create Jira tickets, follow up with IT about access removals, remind managers to submit forms, and check if documentation was finalised.

It worked, but it took time. Information could be missed, and it wasn’t always easy to see where things were up to.

The solution

Instead of adding another tool, ReadyTech embedded a Relevance AI agent directly into Slack. Now, when HR types a request, for example, “Offboard Alex Chen from Engineering” the agent takes care of the rest. It:

  • Gathers required information from the manager

  • Creates the Jira ticket automatically

  • Notifies HR, IT, Payroll, the manager with the next steps

  • Shares updates in Slack as each part of the process progresses

Each stakeholder gets exactly what they need, when they need it. No one has to leave Slack, and HR doesn’t have to follow up manually.
